Membranes

An ongoing project

When doing some research for a project on human connection, I found that membranes, and cells and biological organisms, a lot of them have one thing in common; gaps and space. For example a bones internal structure is porous which allows it to be light and strong. The gaps function as a force distributer and prevents fractures.

And this just reminds me that sometimes it’s the space that allows care to circulate, a message sent late at night, a silence that’s understood, a connection that holds even when people are far apart.

And this just reminds me that sometimes it’s also about the silence in conversations that’s understood, the moments of knowing someone’s there for you even if they’re not constantly in your notifications, and all the inactive moments that make connection full.
